3 Light-Lift Wins for Your Small Brand
Simple ways to create momentum when you’re overwhelmed.
If you’re an one-woman service provider, chances are your to-do list never really ends. Whether you’re a coach, creator or solopreneur, you’re constantly juggling social media, emails, admin, and (oh yeah) actual client work.
And let’s be honest — some days, it can feel like you’re doing everything right, but nothing is working fast enough.
That’s why I like to keep a few light-lift wins in my back pocket. These are small, doable actions that don’t require a big energy push, but they’ll help you reconnect with your audience while building momentum.
1. Ask Your Community
When I’m overwhelmed or disconnected, reconnecting with my audience grounds me every time. It reminds me why I started, who I’m here for, and what matters most.
The truth is: because of our expertise, we often overcomplicate our advice. But our people? They’re just looking for simple support and connection.
The Light Lift:
Go to your Instagram stories and create a poll or question box to ask your audience what they’re struggling with.
Poll Ideas:
What’s harder for you right now?
[Insert common pain points as poll answers]
What kind of content do you want to see from me this week?
[Insert content ideas as poll answers]
Question Box Prompts:
Tell me: What’s been your biggest frustration lately with [insert your niche]?
If I could wave a wand and solve one thing for you this week — what would it be?
What’s one question you wish more people answered about [insert your service area]?
⭐ Extra Credit: Save the replies and turn them into content like a blog post, a Instagram caption, or a newsletter that speaks directly to their current needs.
2. Get Stupid Clear
In the online space, it can feel like everything has already been said.
Because, in a way, it has been.
So, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with your brand’s message, what if you focused instead on making it stupid simple?
The Light Lift:
Head to the top section of your website or your Instagram bio and ask yourself:
Does someone immediately understand:
What I do?
Who I help?
What makes me different?
This is not the time to be fancy or creative. Just see if you can craft this message as plainly as possible. When your’e crystal clear, the right people will understand and feel seen.
Here are some examples to see how this plays out:
✖️ Empowering ambitious women to own their voice and live out their purpose.
✔️ Copywriting services for coaches ready to sell with confidence.
✖️ Helping you unlock your potential through intentional strategy.
✔️ Marketing strategy for creatives who want more clients without burnout.
✖️ Turning your brand dreams into reality.
✔️ Branding and websites for wellness pros who are ready to grow.
If you had two seconds to explain what you do, could someone get it without a second thought? That’s your goal.
3. Let Go or Say No
Finally, when you’re feeling stretched, the best thing you can do isn’t always to push through. Sometimes, it’s to pause and edit. Not every task is actually as important as you think it is.
Here’s your new tactic, try doing less.
The Light Lift:
Ask yourself:
What’s one task I’m doing this week that won’t actually move the needle?
Can I delay, delegate, or delete it altogether?
Is this helping me show up for clients or helping me feel busy?
In my experience, here are the some common tasks that’ll keep you busy but unproductive.
Perfecting a color palette... again
Perfecting your About page for the fifth time this year
Watching another free training or webinar
Scrolling Instagram for content “inspiration”
These things might look productive, but they’re often distractions. Letting go of just one can give you back focus and capacity.
